US embassy warns of jail, deportation and visa bans for illegal migrants | India News

The USA has intensified enforcement of its immigration legal guidelines, with its embassy in India warning that people getting into the nation illegally will face jail time, deportation, and everlasting ineligibility for future US visas.

“The USA has elevated enforcement of immigration legal guidelines and removing of unlawful aliens. Unlawful entry into the USA will result in detention, deportation, and everlasting penalties for future visa eligibility,” the embassy said in a put up on X (previously Twitter).

“Those that enter the USA illegally will face jail time and deportation. Embarking on a pricey and harmful journey will land you in jail or again in your homeland with a everlasting mark in your document,” the assertion additional added.

This warning follows a broader immigration crackdown by the Trump administration, together with latest enforcement actions in Los Angeles, California.

Earlier this week, the embassy had additionally issued a brand new advisory for people making use of for F, M, or J non-immigrant visas, instructing them to set all social media accounts to ‘public’ to help in identification verification and admissibility checks. Since 2019, US visa candidates have been required to submit social media identifiers as a part of their software.

In a string of latest advisories, the embassy has underlined that getting a US visa is “a privilege, not a proper”, and warned that breaking US legal guidelines whereas on a pupil or customer visa may result in visa revocation and future ineligibility.

On June 16, the embassy reiterated that the US “is not going to tolerate” those that facilitate mass or unlawful immigration and famous that new visa restrictions are being imposed on overseas authorities officers and others discovered to be complicit.
