A 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attempting to extort cash from a girl by impersonating a Spanish actor on social media, police stated on Wednesday. The accused, recognized as Abbuzar Rehman, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Bhagpat district, was arrested on Monday, they stated.
In response to the police, Rehman demanded cash from the lady by threatening to add her non-public footage on the web.
The girl, a BPO worker in Noida, alleged that the person, posing as a Spanish actor, befriended her on Instagram and he or she shared her non-public footage with him, a senior police officer stated.

When the complainant didn’t comply with his calls for, the accused made a pretend profile of the lady and uploaded her footage on it, and shared it together with her, police stated.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) Sagar Singh Kalsi stated the accused made a pretend profile on Instagram by utilizing footage of Spanish actor Manu Rios to seize the eye of younger girls, the DCP stated.
