Uttarakhand CM directs DGP to probe Assam woman’s death in Rishikesh | India News

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Saturday directed the state DGP to conduct an intensive investigation into the dying of a girl in Rishikesh.

Rosmita Hojai (25), from Assam’s Dima Hasao district, was reported lacking on June 6 and was discovered lifeless on the banks of the Ganga river in Rishikesh 5 days in a while Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had written to Dhami requesting the case be examined additional.

The Uttarakhand police held that the dying had been discovered to be a suicide case.

Her household stated that she was in Delhi for a Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examination and he or she later travelled to Rishikesh with two people.
