Visa Inc, the world’s largest funds processor, stated on Sunday it was severing its international bank card agreements with collapsed crypto alternate FTX.

“The scenario with FTX is unlucky and we’re monitoring developments carefully,” a Visa spokesperson instructed Reuters.

“Now we have terminated our international agreements with FTX and their U.S. debit card program is being wound down by their issuer.”

FTX and Visa had introduced an expanded partnership in early October, together with plans to introduce account-linked Visa debit playing cards in 40 new nations.
