The Wagner “riot” marched towards Moscow, prompting concern of an armed assault, with Russian President Vladimir Putin vowing harsh penalties for these concerned within the plot.
The march started after pro-Putin forces raided the Wagner unit’s headquarters in St Petersburg after personal military chief Yevgeny Prigozhin captured the Southern Protection Command in Rostov-on-Don, which performed a serious position within the invasion of Ukraine.
