Sarma made the comment in reference to the West Bengal authorities banning the Sudipto Sen-directorial citing legislation and order issues. Sarma stated ‘The Kerala Story’ reveals the conspiracy hatched towards harmless ladies together with these from the Muslim group.

Sarma stated these within the Bengal authorities ought to have first seen the movie earlier than banning it.

On Monday, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee had introduced the ban on the movie. “West Bengal govt has determined to ban the film The Kerala Story. That is to keep away from any incident of hatred and violence, and to take care of peace within the state”, she stated.

Himanta Biswa Sarma appealed to the individuals to observe this movie with their households, significantly daughters. The chief minister additionally urged the mother and father to maintain a watch on the kids and with whom they forge friendships.

Directed by Sudipto Sen, the movie depicts the story of women being kidnapped and recruited by terror group Islamic State.
