The Belagavi police on Tuesday arrested two males from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly dishonest a 19-year-old state-level cricketer in Karnataka of Rs 24 lakh after falsely promising him a spot within the Rajasthan Royals group within the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The police recognized the arrested accused as Susanjan and Diwakar, residents of Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, and mentioned that they’re of their late twenties.
“Investigations revealed that Susanjan has equally cheated two extra individuals. Diwakar has dedicated a criminal offense for the primary time,” Bheemashankar S Guled, Superintendent of Police, Belagavi mentioned.

Between December 22, 2024, and April 19, 2025, Yadure allegedly made repeated funds totalling Rs 23.53 lakh. The accused allegedly promised him match funds starting from Rs 40,000 to Rs 8 lakh to maintain him engaged, Yadure instructed the police.
On Could 17, after realising that he had been conned, Yadure, the son of a safety guard with the Karnataka State Street Transport Company, approached the police and filed a grievance with the Belagavi CEN police, who launched an investigation.
