The Olympic browsing semifinals had an added wow issue on Monday: a particular look from a whale.
Whereas Tatiana Weston-Webb from Brazil and Brisa Hennessy of Costa Rica have been competing in a semifinal match, a whale breached in a picture-perfect second for spectators.
The Olympic surf competitors was held at Teahupo’o, on the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia. Weston-Webb received the semi and went on to take silver to Caroline Marks of the U.S. within the closing.
Humpback whales will be seen close to lots of the French Polynesian islands throughout their migration between July and November.
