Vinay Choletti, the top of WhatsApp Pay India, has left the corporate, simply months after taking cost of the Meta-owned platform’s cost enterprise within the nation.
Choletti, who took over from Manesh Mahatme in September, wrote on LinkedIn that Tuesday was his remaining day at WhatsApp Pay.

“As I transfer on to my subsequent journey, I strongly consider that WhatsApp has the facility to phenomenally rework digital funds and monetary inclusion in India and I stay up for seeing it leverage its potential within the coming years,” wrote the IIM Ahmedabad alumni, who joined WhatsApp Pay India in October 2021, and have become its boss 11 months later.
In current months, a number of senior executives have left Meta India. Final month, Abhijit Bose, Rajiv Aggarwal and Ajit Mohan resigned as WhatsApp India chief, Meta public coverage director for India, and Meta India head, respectively.
In the meantime, Choletti’s earlier employers embody ITC (June2004-July 2005), Citibank India (August 2005-November 2008), American Categorical (November 2008-June 2011), Arete Monetary Companions (February 2012-June 2013), Mashreq Financial institution (July 2013-February 2014), and Amazon (April 2014-October 2021).
