The investigation of a 45-year-old man’s homicide in Karnataka has taken a twist along with his spouse, who filed a police criticism after his physique was found, getting arrested alongside together with her lover.
Shivanagowda Patil, a resident of Gadikoppa village in Khanapur in Belagavi district, was discovered murdered a day after he left his spouse Shaila Patil at her mother and father’ house on Wednesday.
A police officer stated the primary lead they bought was that there have been empty alcohol bottles on the crime spot. “On the place of homicide, it appeared like Patil had consumed alcohol with somebody he knew. The postmortem report additionally prompt that Patil was drunk when he was murdered.”
The Khanpur police went via Patil’s name information and located that the final name was made to Rudrappa Hosetti. After detaining him, they learnt that Hosetti and Shaila had exchanged many calls, together with WhatsApp video calls.
Later, the police detained Shaila for questioning. “Hosetti and Shaila had been in a relationship, which Patil had lately found. He had warned her with penalties if she continued the affair. Shaila determined to get rid of her husband,” the police officer stated.
On the day of the homicide, Shaila shared particulars of her husband’s actions with Hosetti. Hosetti allegedly killed Patil whereas they each had been consuming alcohol. Later he video-called Shaila and confirmed her that Patil had been murdered, the police officer added.
The accused duo have been remanded in judicial custody.
