Kyiv:
Kyiv won’t be able to barter with Russia after Moscow held annexation “referendums” in 4 occupied Ukrainian areas, President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the United Nations Basic Meeting on Tuesday.
“Russia’s recognition of the pseudo-referendums as ‘regular’, implementation of the so-called Crimean state of affairs, and one more try to annex Ukrainian territory means that there’s nothing to speak about with (the) present Russian president,” he mentioned in a video message at a gathering of the UN safety council.
“In entrance of the eyes of the entire world, Russia is conducting an outright farce known as a ‘referendum’ on the occupied territory of Ukraine,” he mentioned.
“Persons are pressured to fill out some papers for a TV image underneath the muzzles of machine weapons.
“The figures of the alleged outcomes of the pseudo-referendum had been drawn upfront,” he mentioned.
Zelensky added that “threats to make use of nuclear weapons have turn out to be a continuing narrative of Russian officers and propagandists”.
