Based on the lawsuit, the plaintiff was speaking to the pair when Doherty’s bodyguard, Kane Kongg AKA Justin Goslee, had requested, “What are we doing?” Doherty allegedly replied, “We’re gonna combat. Us two versus you two, alright go.”
Moments later, the bodyguard “violently punched” Gardella within the face, “sending him falling to the bottom and inflicting critical bodily accidents to his head, face, and neck.”
Gardella said that he was “severely injured and fairly feared [the bodyguard] was going to proceed to bodily hurt him.”
