19-year-old BBA student dies by suicide in Bengaluru; father accuses senior student of harassing her | Bangalore News

A 19-year-old BBA pupil was discovered useless at her residence in Bengaluru on Friday, along with her father alleging that she died by suicide due to harassment by a senior pupil of her school.

The police recognized the deceased as Sana Parvin, a second-year BBA pupil at Koshys Faculty who was dwelling on hire with three others at Inexperienced Backyard Structure in Kadusonnappanahalli.

Her father Abdul Nazeer, a resident of Kodagu district, acknowledged in his police grievance that he had obtained a cellphone name at round 11 am on Friday from Parvin’s trainer that she had fallen unconscious.

When he reached Dr BR Ambedkar Hospital at 5 pm, Parvin’s pals knowledgeable him that she had died by suicide at round 10 am.

Nazeer alleged that one Reefas from Thrissur, Kerala, who was recognized to Sana by means of school circles, had been subjecting her to psychological torture, abuse, and blackmail by means of cellphone calls and messages. He additional acknowledged that only a day earlier than the incident, on Thursday, Reefas had left the city. He alleged that the continual harassment by Reefas had led to his daughter’s demise, and demanded strict authorized motion.

In accordance with the FIR registered on his grievance, Nazeer had knowledgeable Amala Sen, head of the division for BBA (aviation) at her school, of the harassment by Reefas, and she or he had warned the person to not hassle Parvin.

The Bagalur police have registered a case below part 108 (abetment of suicide) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the investigation is underway. The police are but to arrest Reefas.

In an unrelated incident, Yamini Priya, a 20-year-old pharmacy pupil, was killed in Bengaluru on Thursday allegedly by a person for rejecting his marriage proposal. In accordance with a police grievance filed by Yamini Priya’s mom, she was being harassed by Vignesh, who lived reverse their home, by pressuring her for marriage. Vignesh, 26, and his affiliate Harish, 30, have been arrested within the case.
