5 arrested for robbing Bengaluru jewellery store, fleeing with gold worth Rs 50 lakh | Bangalore News

The Bengaluru police have arrested 5 males from Rajasthan for allegedly robbing a jewelry store within the metropolis and fleeing with gold ornaments value Rs 50 lakh. Investigators have to this point recovered 478 grams of the 600 grams of gold that was stolen.

Saying the arrests on Tuesday, Seemanth Kumar Singh, Police Commissioner, Bengaluru, recognized them as Narayan Lal, 43, Keeraram, 35, Pushpendra Singh, 35, Mahendra Gehlot, 27, and Dilip Kumar, 36. All of the accused have been introduced earlier than court docket and remanded in judicial custody.

He had collected particulars of the jewelry store situated in Seegehalli and met Mahendra, who ran a grocery retailer in Kengeri. The 2 determined to rob the shop and approached the folks from Rajasthan who had been doing odd jobs within the metropolis.

After the theft, the accused offered the jewelry to 1 Dilip Kumar in Rajasthan, investigators added.
