The pilot of a small aircraft made and emergency touchdown on an open discipline in Douglas County Saturday morning, the aircraft flipped after touching down.
The pilot, of a Cessna 172S, and a passenger escaped harm, South Metro Fireplace Rescue stated on X at 6:47 a.m.
The exhausting touchdown occurred south of Lincoln Avenue and east of Oswego Road on the Meridian Golf Course. No fireplace or gas spill occurred. The aircraft departed runway 17R at Centennial Airport previous to the emergency touchdown.

The plane flipped over about 50 yards after touching down, SMFR stated. The Nationwide Transportation Security Board is investigating.
