Tunnel inspections will shut down sections of U.S. Freeway 6 in Clear Creek Canyon for 4 nights in late April, transportation officers introduced Friday.
Colorado Division of Transportation groups will conduct tunnel inspections alongside U.S. 6 between Interstate 70 and Colorado Freeway 119 on Tuesday, April 23 and Wednesday, April 24, shutting down the part of freeway in a single day from 6 p.m. to six a.m. each days, in response to a division information launch.
The next week, inspections will shut the subsequent part of US 6 between Freeway 119 and Colorado Freeway 93 on Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30 from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., the discharge said.
Drivers can take I-70 as an alternate route across the in a single day closures.
