Hawaii Airport Evacuated After Grenades Discovered In Man's Baggage

In a surprising incident, Hawaii Airport in the USA was evacuated after grenades had been present in a carry-on baggage of a person, as per a report in CBS Information. The Transportation Safety Administration stated that they discovered two objects resembling grenades had been detected throughout x-ray screening in a bag belonging to a male Japanese nationwide departing the nation.

On Tuesday, officers emptied the terminal because the bomb squad investigated the suspicious objects found throughout X-ray scanning. The police stated, “The Hilo Worldwide Airport skilled a quick halt in operations” for a bit of over an hour.

In response to police, the bomb squad “decided the objects to be inert grenades,” which means they posed no risk. As per the authorities, Akito Fukushima, of Kanazawa, Japan, was taken into custody on a cost of first-degree terroristic threats.

Fukushima was transported to HPD’s East Hawaii Detention Facility and stays in custody whereas Detectives of the Space I Felony Investigation Part proceed the investigation. The airport resumed operations at 6:50 a.m,” the Hawaii Police Division in a press launch.
