Their 10-day Artemis II Moon mission over, the 4 astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft have splashed down safely within the Pacific Ocean and emerged safely from their capsule.

The splashdown came about at 8:07 pm EDT on April 10 ( 5:37 am IST on April 11) within the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego, California.

Launched on April 2, Artemis II marked a serious milestone for Nasa, sending 4 astronauts on the primary crewed mission past low Earth orbit since Apollo 17.

Throughout their journey, the crew travelled 1000’s of miles previous the moon and even witnessed a complete photo voltaic eclipse from house.

Artemis II mission 

Artemis II was Nasa’s first crewed flight utilizing the Area Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft.
