A 29-year-old man, who returned from Dubai final month, allegedly killed his spouse and later died by suicide in Bengaluru Sunday night time.

The incident occurred close to the Ullal fundamental street, throughout the Jnanabharathi police limits. The deceased had been recognized as Dharmaseelan Ramesh, a labourer, and his spouse Manju P, 27, who labored as a nurse at an area clinic. The couple had been married since 2022, mentioned the police.

The incident got here to mild round 9.30 pm when Manju’s father, Periyaswamy, 53, returned from Tumakuru, the place he had been working as a labourer for 2 weeks. Periyaswamy arrived together with his nephew and others, and he grew suspicious when he discovered the third-floor condominium locked, with no response from inside. After forcefully opening the doorways, he noticed Manju’s physique on the mattress with neck accidents, in addition to Ramesh’s physique.

In accordance with the FIR filed by Periyaswamy, the couple initially lived in Pinnalavadi, Tamil Nadu, Ramesh’s hometown, for a 12 months after their wedding ceremony. Two years in the past, Ramesh relocated to Dubai in quest of employment alternatives. Throughout his absence, Manju moved to Bengaluru to stick with her father and secured nursing work at an area clinic.

The police mentioned Ramesh returned from Dubai roughly one month in the past, prompting Manju to relocate to Pinnalavadi to be with him briefly. She returned to Bengaluru 15 days earlier than the incident to renew her nursing duties. Simply three days earlier than the murder-suicide, Ramesh allegedly contacted Periyaswamy, expressing his intention to return to Bengaluru for work, and acquired his father-in-law’s approval.

A police officer mentioned Ramesh needed to take his spouse to Tamil Nadu and requested her to resign from her job. “Although Ramesh pursued it for a while, Manju at all times refused. It seems that the couple might have argued, and in a match of rage, Ramesh killed his spouse,” the officer added.

The Jnanabharathi police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
