Air India flyer urinates on co-passenger on Delhi-Bangkok flight; probe ordered | India News

An Air India passenger allegedly urinated on a fellow traveller aboard a flight from Delhi to Bangkok on April 9. The incident has prompted each airline and authorities authorities to provoke probes and assessment responses.

The episode occurred onboard flight AI2336, the place the crew needed to intervene after a passenger engaged in what Air India has formally termed “unruly habits.” The airline has since reported the matter to the Directorate Common of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and promised additional investigation.

“Air India confirms that an incident of unruly passenger behaviour was reported to the cabin crew working flight AI2336, from Delhi to Bangkok, on April 9, 2025,” the airline mentioned in an announcement. “The crew adopted all laid down procedures, and the matter has been reported to the authorities.”

Air India additional said that its cabin crew had issued a warning to the offending passenger throughout the flight and had provided help to the aggrieved flyer to pursue the matter with native authorities upon touchdown in Bangkok. Nevertheless, the affected passenger reportedly declined the supply at the moment.

In response to the rising scrutiny, Civil Aviation Minister Ok Rammohan Naidu commented, “If there’s any wrongdoing, we are going to take essential motion.” He assured that the Ministry would look into the main points and converse to the airline.

The airline has additionally introduced {that a} standing Unbiased Committee could be convened to guage the incident and resolve on any disciplinary motion in opposition to the accused flyer. “Air India continues to observe the SOPs as laid out by DGCA in such issues,” the spokesperson added.
