Amid conflict with Israel, Iran opens airspace to evacuate around 1,000 Indian students | India News

Iran has opened its airspace for India, permitting New Delhi to convey again round 1,000 Indian college students below Operation Sindhu as tensions are escalating within the Center East.

These college students have been taken to Yerevan, the Armenian capital, below the supervision of Indian diplomatic missions.

Operation Sindhu was launched after experiences of Indian college students sustaining accidents throughout a strike on a medical scholar dormitory in Tehran’s Keshavarz Avenue space. Iranian embassy officers in Delhi confirmed that the Iranian international ministry stays in shut contact with the Indian mission in Tehran following the incident.

In an earlier assertion, the MEA emphasised the Indian authorities’s deal with the well-being of its residents overseas. “India accords highest precedence to the protection and safety of Indian nationals overseas. Indian nationals in Iran have been suggested to remain linked with the Indian Embassy in Tehran via its emergency helpline and to coordinate with the 24×7 Management Room established by the MEA in New Delhi.
