Amazon Net Providers (AWS) on Tuesday, February 17, mentioned it’s collaborating with the Indian authorities to strengthen its generative AI capabilities, with a concentrate on addressing information residency and safety necessities.

The hybrid structure of those AWS Outposts would allow authorities departments to run delicate workloads inside NIC information centres whereas accessing the complete capabilities of AWS providers reminiscent of AWS Nitro System for safety, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), and Amazon Easy Storage Service (Amazon S3).

The announcement comes amid the continuing AI Affect Summit 2026, hosted by India at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from February 16 to February 20.

Talking at an AWS Symposium held on the sidelines of the Summit in New Delhi on Tuesday, Minister of State for IT Jitin Prasada mentioned, “So far as AI goes, India has taken up an awesome duty to make sure that there will probably be no haves and haven’t’s.
