Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has conceded defeat within the Hungarian election after 16 years in energy, with the opposition heading in the right direction for a landslide win.
Péter Magyar is ready to be the nation’s new prime minister, after document numbers turned out for an election which was seen as pivotal to the way forward for Hungary and Europe.
With two thirds of the votes counted, Magyar’s social gathering is ready to win an enormous majority in parliament. Vote counting will proceed within the coming days.
