Bengaluru airport’s metro line will be opened by the end of 2023: CM Bommai | Bengaluru

Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday knowledgeable that the metro operations to Kempegowda Worldwide Airport will start by the tip of 2023. He additionally mentioned that the mission is being personally monitored by him to fulfill the deadline.

In a response to the question of Congress MLC Ok Govindraj at legislative council, CM Bommai mentioned, “The metro operations to Bengaluru airport will start by the tip of 2023. The infrastructural work is happening at a fast tempo and it’s being carefully monitored by me. The delay has been because of the massive industrial and residential institutions within the metro route and we’re slowly fixing every impediment.”

Complaining in regards to the sluggish tempo of metro work, MLC Govindraj mentioned, “Our metro tasks have been going at a really sluggish tempo when in comparison with Hyderabad. In Hyderabad, the metro mission began after us however now most elements of town have metro connectivity however we’re missing it on account of sluggish work.”

In November, Bangalore Metro Rail Company Restricted (BMRCL) managing director Anjum Parwez mentioned that town may have the metro tracks of 175 km by 2025. “By June 2025, Bengaluru metro will cowl 175 kilometers… The second and third section of the metro tasks will even improve metro connectivity throughout town and, by 2041, Bengaluru may have 314 km of metro rail connectivity,” he then mentioned.
