Bengaluru gets 3 more police divisions: here’s the list of police stations under them | Bangalore News

The Karnataka authorities on Tuesday authorised a proposal to extend the variety of police divisions in Bengaluru metropolis from eight to eleven, creating three new divisions to strengthen regulation enforcement throughout the increasing metropolis.

The three new divisions of North West, South West and Digital Metropolis will be a part of the present Central, West, East, South, Southeast, North, Northeast and Whitefield divisions. This growth of town police commissionerate was first introduced by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah throughout the annual state price range in March.

Presently, Bengaluru has a inhabitants of 1.4 crore individuals and is the third most populous metropolis within the nation after Delhi and Mumbai. Presently, there are 111 regulation and order police stations, 53 site visitors, eight girls, eight CEN (Cyber, Financial, and Narcotics) and one cybercrime police station.

In keeping with the federal government order, every new division can be headed by a deputy commissioner of police, supported by one assistant sub-inspector of police, 5 head constables, six police constables, and 11 further help employees members.

The North West division will embody Peenya sub-division underneath an assistant commissioner of police (ACP), encompassing six police stations: Peenya, Rajagopal Nagar, Bagalagunte, Byadarahalli, Soladevanahalli and Gangammanagudi.

The South West division will function two subdivisions—Kengeri and Subramanyapura—every headed by ACPs. This division will oversee eight police stations: Kengeri, Jnanabharati, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Kumbalgodu, Thalaghattapura, Subramanyapura, Kumaraswamy Format and Konanakunte.

The Digital Metropolis division will operate as a single sub-division, managing six police stations: Digital Metropolis, Hulimavu, Beguru, Parappana Agrahara, Bandepalya and Hebbagodi.
