Bengaluru Metro connectivity to Tumakuru soon, BMRCL will prepare DPR: Home Minister Parameshwara | Bangalore News

The Karnataka Authorities has accepted a feasibility research report on the proposed extension of Bengaluru Metro companies to Tumakuru, Dwelling Minister G Parameshwara mentioned on Monday, including that the venture would turn out to be a actuality quickly.

Talking at a information convention in Tumakuru, Parameshwara mentioned, “Bengaluru Metro Rail Company Restricted (BMRCL) was directed to hold out the research. BMRCL invited tenders at a value of Rs 3 crore and awarded the feasibility research to a Hyderabad-based firm. The corporate has submitted its report back to the Authorities.”

Within the 2024-25 price range offered by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the Authorities introduced a feasibility research to increase the metro rail line from Madavara to Tumakuru. The Authorities has now instructed BMRCL to organize an in depth venture report (DPR) underneath a public-private partnership mannequin.

Noting that the Authorities issued an order on September 25, Parameshwara mentioned that BMRCL would put together the DPR at a value of Rs 3 crore.

Within the first part, the venture is estimated to value Rs 20,649 crore. A number of personal corporations have expressed curiosity to take up the metro work, the residence minister mentioned.

The venture envisages setting up a line spanning 59.6 km from Madavara to Tumakuru. Madavara is a part of the metro’s Inexperienced Line, which connects suburbs in Bengaluru’s north-western half to its southern elements.The Inexperienced Line spans 33.46 km and is among the many three metro strains operational within the metropolis. The opposite two are the Purple Line, which connects Whitefield with Challaghatta and runs a size of 43.5 km, and the Yellow Line, connecting Bommasandra with Digital Metropolis spanning 18.8 km.
