Boeing plans to hire 10,000 workers in 2023 as it increases jetliner production

Boeing expects to rent 10,000 staff in 2023 because it recovers from the pandemic and will increase jetliner manufacturing, however will trim some help jobs, the U.S. planemaker mentioned Friday.

The Arlington, Virginia-based firm boosted total employment by about 14,000 staff in 2022 to 156,000 as of Dec. 31, up from about 142,000 in 2021. Boeing employs about 136,000 staff in the US.

Boeing acknowledged it is going to “decrease staffing inside some help features” – a transfer meant to allow it to higher align assets to help present merchandise and know-how growth. It declined to touch upon what number of jobs it is going to reduce in 2023.
