Bursting crackers on potholes? Bengaluru sees a novel Diwali protest | Bengaluru

Employees of the Janata Dal (Secular) burst crackers on pothole-ridden roads of Bengaluru on Tuesday when the town and nation have been celebrating Diwali.

The celebration members, together with MLAs, sat across the potholes to put some flowers, mild lamps and burst a couple of crackers, demanding the ruling BJP authorities enhance the highway situations of the nation’s tech capital.

A tweet from the official Twitter deal with of JDS mentioned, “A protest was held towards the state authorities for not closing the potholes within the capital Bangalore, within the background of Diwali competition, close to Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna circle by inserting flowers and lighting lamps on the potholes. Many leaders, together with members of Vidhan Parishad @SharavanaTa, Bengaluru JDS President Mr. R. Prakash participated within the protest and expressed outrage towards the federal government. (Sic)”

Just a few residents of the town additionally registered their protest towards the dangerous situation of Bengaluru roads by bursting crackers. A video of a person bursting crackers at a pothole within the Silk Board space went viral on social media.

Not too long ago, the Kundanhalli underpass noticed an enormous pothole in the midst of the highway with a stretch caving in. The underpass was opened months in the past for the general public.

In one other incident, a 50-year-old girl who was commuting on a scooter was run over by a bus when she tried to maneuver a pothole in Rajajinagar. She died later on the hospital.
