CBI files charges against 12 in Bengal teacher recruitment scam

The CBI on Tuesday filed a chargesheet naming 12 folks in reference to an alleged rip-off in recruitment of assistant lecturers for courses IX and X in secondary and better secondary colleges throughout West Bengal.

Amongst these named within the charge-sheet, filed earlier than Particular Choose, Alipore, are former West Bengal Central College Service Fee (WBCSSC) adviser Shanti Prasad Sinha and Kalyanmoy Ganguly, then president of the ad-hoc committee of West Bengal Board of Secondary Training (WBSE).

Following orders of the Calcutta Excessive Court docket, a case was registered on April 7 regarding alleged unlawful appointments of assistant lecturers.

“Moreover Sinha and Ganguly, we’ve got additionally named Ashok Kumar Saha, then assistant secretary, WBCSSC; Subires Bhattacharyya, then chairman, WBCSSC; Parna Bose and Samarjit Acharya, then programme officers of WBCSSC; and 6 personal individuals — Prasanna Kumar Roy, alias Rakesh; Pradip Singh; Jnui Das; Md Azad Ali Mirza; Imam Momin; and Rohit Kumar Jha,” the CBI spokesperson mentioned.
