Circus worker from Jammu killed in Valley

IN THE second such incident in Kashmir this 12 months, an individual from Jammu was killed by suspected militants in Anantnag on Monday evening.

The sufferer has been recognized as Deepak Kumar, 26, from Udhampur district of Jammu area, who was working with a non-public circus in Anantnag.

A PTI report quoted police as saying that Kumar had gone to a close-by market to purchase milk when two motorcycle-borne youths fired three bullets at him from a detailed vary at 8.30 pm. He was taken to hospital the place he died.

“Terrorists fired upon one civilian particularly Deepu R/O Udhampur working at personal circus mela at amusement park close to Janglat Mandi in Anantnag. He was taken to hospital the place he succumbed to his accidents. Case registered, investigation occurring,” J&Ok Police stated in a tweet.

On February 26, Sanjay Sharma, a Kashmiri Pandit who labored as a safety guard at a financial institution, was killed by unidentified militants at Achan village in Pulwama, South Kashmir.

Condemning Monday’s assault, J&Ok Lieutenant-Governor Manoj Sinha stated: “Our safety forces stay dedicated of their resolve to thwart the designs of terrorists and all efforts will likely be made to deliver the perpetrators to justice.”

“Pained by the information of yet one more focused assault in opposition to a civilian in Anantnag space of South Kashmir. The homicide of Deepak who labored with a touring circus to earn an trustworthy dwelling is an abomination & I condemn this militant assault unreservedly,” former Chief Minister and NC chief Omar Abdullah tweeted.

“Deeply anguished by yet one more assault on an harmless civilian in Anantnag… This speaks volumes about GoI’s coverage which has been a monumental failure in J&Ok,” tweeted PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti.
