Indian shares erased early losses to rise on Monday, as financial institution and vehicle shares gained, information company PTI reported.

The NSE Nifty 50 index closed 0.73% greater at 17,311 and the S&P BSE Sensex superior 0.85% and ended session at 58,410.98.

In the meantime, in broader Asia, equities slipped on Monday following one other drubbing for Wall Road, as traders braced for an additional drastic tightening in world monetary circumstances.
