A division bench of the Karnataka Excessive Courtroom on Tuesday put aside the November 7 interim order of a Bengaluru civil courtroom to dam the Twitter accounts of the Congress celebration and its Bharat Jodo Yatra over the alleged violation of the Copyright Act.

The HC was listening to an enchantment by the pinnacle of the Congress’ social media and digital platforms, Supriya Shrinate.

The HC put aside the civil decide order after the Congress agreed that the offending materials — music from the movie KGF-2 which is the property of MRT Music — might be faraway from its accounts by Wednesday afternoon.

Senior counsel Abhishek Singhvi who appeared for the Congress argued that the civil courtroom order to dam the Twitter accounts was “disproportionate motion” within the case filed by MRT Music over copyright violation. The HC partly allowed the plea of the Congress celebration and referred the case again to the civil courtroom.

A civil decide had issued a short lived injunction on the Congress’ official Twitter accounts in the middle of a industrial dispute case filed by MRT Music over the alleged violation of copyright.

Final week, an FIR was registered on the Yeshwanthpur police station below the Copyright Act; the Info Know-how Act; and the IPC towards Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh, and Supriya Shrinate, for utilizing KGF-2 music in Bharat Jodo Yatra promo movies.
