Comedy legend Dave Chappelle informed President Donald Trump to again off on his threats in opposition to the Haitian group in Springfield, Ohio.
“Mr. Trump, please depart these Haitians in Springfield alone. We love them,” Chappelle, who lives a brief drive from the town, stated on CNN on Friday. “We love the Haitians.”
Trump made the group a flashpoint throughout the 2024 election, falsely accusing them of consuming pets and vowing to deport them. A Supreme Courtroom ruling this week permits him to finish their non permanent protected standing and opens the door for deporting migrants from Haiti and Syria who’ve been right here legally with that standing.
Chappelle’s protection of the Haitian migrants got here throughout CNN’s “Independence Eve” protection, a New-Yr’s-Eve-style celebration hosted by Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.
