Detention of illegal Bangladeshis has risen 36% in Tripura, says CM Manik Saha | India News

The detention of Bangladeshis illegally getting into Tripura by the worldwide border has risen by 36 per cent from final yr, Chief Minister Manik Saha stated on Tuesday.

Police are doing their job to keep up legislation and order within the state.”

Saha stated Tripura has the third-lowest crime fee among the many 28 states of the nation. The general crime fee declined 19.4 per cent in 2024 from 2023 and additional by 10 per cent within the first 4 months of 2025. The street accident fee declined 13 per cent in 2024 from 2023. The state has launched a 24×7 helpline (1091) at each police station to make sure girls’s security, he added.
