In a heated backwards and forwards on Meet the Press, NBC’s Kristen Welker requested Donalds, “Congressman, it appears like Donald Trump was implying that he can win black voters as a result of they get indicted on a regular basis too. Is that what he was saying?”

The NBC anchor fact-checked the congressman on the spot, telling him, “Congressman, let’s simply be clear … All 4 indictments towards former President Trump have been introduced by grand juries. There is no such thing as a proof that the indictments are political in nature.”
