Doug Mastriano, the Donald Trump-backed GOP nominee for governor of Pennsylvania, in 2019 agreed that ladies who violate a so-called “fetal heartbeat” abortion ban he was sponsoring needs to be charged with homicide.
In an interview with radio station WITF that was unearthed by NBC Information this week, state senator Mastriano was requested whether or not a lady “who determined to have an abortion, which might be thought of unlawful abortion, be charged with homicide?”
“OK, let’s return to the fundamental query there,” Mastriano responded. “Is {that a} human being? Is that a little bit boy or woman? Whether it is, it deserves equal safety underneath the regulation.”
“So that you’re saying sure?” requested the interviewer.
“Sure, I’m,” responded Mastriano, who has backed former President Donald Trump over his 2020 election lies and beforehand drawn backlash after being photographed sporting a Accomplice uniform.
