Hamas Official Says Group Against Any “Partial” Gaza Deal

Hamas’s chief negotiator declared on Thursday that the Palestinian militant group wouldn’t settle for any “partial” ceasefire deal in Gaza, signalling rejection of Israel’s newest proposal.

“Partial agreements are utilized by (Israeli Prime Minister) Benjamin Netanyahu as a canopy for his political agenda… we won’t be complicit on this coverage,” Khalil al-Hayya mentioned in a televised assertion.

He mentioned the group “seeks a complete deal involving a single-package prisoner alternate in return for halting the conflict, a withdrawal of the occupation from the Gaza Strip, and the graduation of reconstruction” within the territory.

A senior Hamas official instructed AFP earlier this week that the group had obtained a brand new Israeli proposal to halt the conflict in Gaza.

The official mentioned the provide features a truce of no less than 45 days in return for the discharge of 10 residing hostages held in Gaza.
