‘How do I put it…’: Ex officer says Russian soldiers unhappy with Vladimir Putin

Some officers are sad with Russian president Vladimir Putin and navy prime brass due to the poor execution of the struggle, an influential nationalist Russian blogger and former FSB officer stated.

Igor Girkin, a former Federal Safety Service officer who helped Russia annex Crimea in 2014 after which organise pro-Russian militias in jap Ukraine, stated there was some discontent with the highest brass.

“It’s not simply me… persons are not blind and deaf in any respect: individuals on the mid-level there don’t even cover their views which, how do I put it, will not be totally complimentary concerning the president or the defence minister,” Igor Girkin stated.

Igor Girkin has repeatedly criticised Sergei Shoigu for the battlefield defeats Russia has suffered within the struggle whereas direct public criticism of Vladimir Putin is uncommon in Russia, though nationalist bloggers have been outspoken concerning the conduct of the struggle, particularly the pricey defeats in Ukraine’s Kharkiv area in September.
