IndiGo flight with 140 passengers on board makes emergency landing at Indore airport | India News

An IndiGo flight from Goa with 140 passengers on board made an emergency touchdown on the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport in Indore on Monday night following a technical alert associated to its touchdown gear, officers mentioned.

All passengers are protected.

Airport director Vipinkant Seth acknowledged that IndiGo Airways flight (6E 813) from Goa acquired an undercarriage warning, indicating a doable concern with its touchdown gear. As a precaution, the plane remained airborne for about 25 minutes earlier than touchdown.

“On account of this warning, the plane landed below emergency situations on the Indore airport. The crew and all passengers are fully protected,” he acknowledged.

One other official mentioned data was acquired about an undercarriage warning, prompting declaration of “full emergency” on the airport. Hearth and medical groups have been deployed as per the Commonplace Working Process (SOP).

The plane, carrying about 140 passengers, landed safely at 5.15 pm. Its scheduled arrival time was 4.50 pm, the official added.

An IndiGo spokesperson acknowledged that flight 6E 813 working from Goa Worldwide Airport (Dabolim) to Indore reported a technical snag simply earlier than touchdown.

“The plane landed safely in Indore. It can endure mandatory checks, as per obligatory procedures, earlier than resuming operations. We’re making all efforts to minimise its affect on any subsequent flights and remorse any inconvenience which may be prompted to our prospects”, the spokesperson added.
