The anticipatory bail plea was filed on behalf of former Gujarat DGP RB Sreekumar, former Kerala law enforcement officials S Vijayan and Thampi S Durga Dutt, and retired intelligence officer PS Jayaprakash.

Sreekumar was the deputy director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
