Karnataka government directs CID to take up Santro Ravi case | Bengaluru

Alleged intercourse trafficker Santro Ravi who was arrested by Karnataka police will now be investigated by the state Crime Investigation Division (CID), mentioned Karnataka residence minister Araga Jnanendra. The state authorities directed CID to take up all circumstances filed in opposition to Ravi, reported information company ANI.

“The state authorities has directed the CID to research the complaints in opposition to Santro Ravi, who is claimed to be a fraudster,” Karnataka residence minister Araga Jnanendra is quoted as saying by ANI. The opposition earlier linked Santro Ravi’s connections with Jnanendra as photos of Ravi surfaced together with the house minister. Araga Jnanendra later refuted the allegations of his hyperlinks with the fraudster and mentioned that he can be punished in line with the legislation.

Ok S Manjunath aka ‘Santro Ravi’, accused of being the kingpin in human-trafficking and having hyperlinks with politicians was arrested by the Karnataka police in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on Friday. He was arrested in reference to a case filed by his spouse in Mysuru alleging she was drugged, raped and compelled into marriage in 2019.
