Karnataka tiger deaths: Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre warns of strict action against officials if negligence is proven | Bangalore News

Karnataka Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre Friday stated that strict motion can be taken in opposition to suspects answerable for the deaths of 5 tigers at Male Mahadeshwara Hills in Chamarajanagar district.

Chatting with reporters after visiting the forest the place a tigress and her 4 cubs have been discovered useless in a case of suspected poisoning, Khandre stated that the suspects had even tried to burn the carcasses.

The autopsy examination has been carried out as per the foundations and the our bodies have been cremated.”

Khandre additional stated that “there are studies that the outsourced frontline forest workers weren’t being paid on time. This may also be investigated and motion will likely be taken to pay the frontline workers on time.”

The minister warned that motion will likely be taken in opposition to forest division officers if the investigation have been to disclose negligence on their half.

The tiger deaths have been found by forest patrol workers throughout routine monitoring of the reserve forest space. Preliminary investigations urged that the large cats died from consuming meat laced with poisonous substances.

The forest minister has directed the principal chief conservator of forests to conduct a radical inquiry quickly after the tigers have been discovered useless and requested him to submit the report inside three days.
