K’nataka: CM Bommai directs officials to complete 7 lakh houses by February | Bengaluru

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday instructed the state housing division to finish seven lakh homes by the tip of February subsequent 12 months.

CM Bommai was chairing a overview assembly of the housing division on Monday and mentioned that steps should be taken to finish the homes that are in varied phases of completion.

“The federal government is able to guarantee enough manpower to take up this undertaking as a revolution. Officers should go to each district, maintain conferences and clear up issues on the spot,” mentioned CM Bommai.

He mentioned that the development of homes underneath varied authorities schemes should be the topic of precedence.

“We’re focusing on to finish two lakh extra homes of earlier years and two to a few lakh homes of the present 12 months. This goal should be achieved within the subsequent three months,” mentioned CM Bommai.

He additionally directed officers to carry assembly a gathering with heads of all personal banks and focus on the mortgage disbursements for beneficiaries of city areas.

He mentioned {that a} grant of Rs.1089 crore has been sanctioned by the state and the union authorities, and guaranteed that there isn’t any scarcity of funds to construct as targetted by the federal government.

“The federal government can disburse the mortgage prematurely for the preliminary cost in the direction of homes, and accumulate the cash again from the beneficiaries in instalments with the situation to the compensation of the mortgage to the federal government,” he mentioned.

Housing Minister V Somanna, Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma, Extra Chief Secretary (Finance Division) ISN Prasad, Housing Division Secretary Dr J Ravishankar, KHB Commissioner Kavita S Mannikeri, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary N Manjunath Prasad and others attended the assembly.
