KSRTC bus driver dives into pond to save two drowning girls: Report | Bengaluru

A Karnataka State Highway Transport Company (KSRTC) bus driver, recognized as Manjunath M (38), went out of his technique to save two women from drowning in a pond after their mom flagged the bus down and requested for assist.

The incident occurred on Sunday in Sira close to Tumakuru, The Occasions of India reported. The 2 women, Sushma (17), and her sister Manjula (12), have been washing garments together with their mom after they slipped into the water.

In accordance with the driving force, it was a routine day when the lady stopped his bus close to the Handigunte Gate in Sira taluk and requested him to assist her daughters, who have been drowning within the pond.

With out hesitating, he dove into the pond as he knew how one can swim, and introduced the sisters again to land safely. Nevertheless, that they had taken in a number of water and have been each unconscious, Manjunath advised media.

He was taking greater than 40 passengers from Sira to Nagappanahalli Gate when the incident befell. After rescuing the ladies, Manjunath resumed the journey in his moist uniform, the publication added.

He has been driving on the route for 5 years and each the ladies would use his bus for commute to highschool and school. “I’m very joyful that I may save them,” Manjunath stated, and was later felicitated by the depot supervisor of Sira for his courageous act.
