A 21-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his father and chopping his physique into practically 30 items earlier than disposing of them in an unused borewell in Karnataka’s Bagalkot district final week, police mentioned on Tuesday.

Bagalkot superintendent of police (SP) Jayaprakash advised HT that the accused, Vithal Kulali, confessed to the crime and mentioned he killed his father as he was fed up together with his frequent quarrels and assault on relations in a drunken state.

At round 6pm on December 6, Kulali took his father, Parushram Kulali (54), who was reportedly in an intoxicated state, from their home in Mudhol city to their agricultural discipline close to Mantiyar bypass, 5km away, and killed him by hitting his head with an iron rod, the SP mentioned.

Kulali was the fifth and the youngest son of Parushram. The accused mentioned his father was hooked on alcohol and used to quarrel and assault his household, together with his spouse, frequently. He mentioned he was fed up together with his father’s behaviour and determined to kill him, Jayaprakash mentioned.
