A forty five-year-old girl died after her neighbours allegedly raped her in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa district, police stated on Sunday.
Police have arrested two accused, aged 40 and 30.
Investigators are awaiting the postmortem report to find out the extent of her accidents and the way they have been triggered.
Extra SP Rajesh Raghuvanshi stated, “The lady knew the accused as they have been neighbours. A preliminary medical examination confirmed that the lady died as a result of extreme bleeding. We’re awaiting a postmortem report back to know the complete extent of accidents.”
The incident is believed to have taken place after the lady attended a marriage. In response to police, she was raped and left bleeding on the home of one of many neighbours.
Police stated that as per the lady’s son, throughout the wedding ceremony, she had been requested to accompany another girls to a close-by discipline.
“Her son instructed us that when she didn’t return that evening, folks went out in search of her the following morning. Their kinfolk instructed them the lady left with the 2 accused. The lady was present in a shed close to her relative’s residence and was unconscious. She was taken to the hospital,” stated a senior police officer.
The lady was taken to a local people well being centre, the place she died on Saturday after telling medical doctors concerning the incident and revealing the identification of the accused, police stated.
