The Tripura police on Wednesday detained a mentally challenged man for allegedly attempting to set hearth to plastic waste on a railway monitor at Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district. His identification is but to be recognized.
The police mentioned the person was seen attempting to set hearth to some chips packets on the railway monitor on the Bishalgarh railway station when some locals caught him and handed him over to the police. “The individual is mentally challenged. We’ve got registered a normal diary entry on this incident,” mentioned an officer of the Bishalgarh police station.
No practice service has been affected due to the incident, officers mentioned. A number of Demu trains and the Sabroom-Sealdah Kanchanjungha Categorical use this stretch. Nonetheless, the specific practice was not operating on the route as all long-distance practice providers out of Tripura have been suspended since Monday, after boulders and a landmass fell on the railway monitor within the New Haflong-Jatinga Lumpur part, allegedly due to improper highway restore work undertaken by the Nationwide Freeway Authority of India (NHAI).
The Northeast Frontier Railway has cancelled the Guwahati-Silchar Categorical and Dullabcherra-Guwahati Categorical whereas short-terminating six different trains–the Sealdah-Silchar Kanchanjunga Categorical, Lokmanya Tilak Categorical plying between Agartala and Mumbai, Tejas Categorical connecting Agartala with New Delhi, Kolkata-Agartala Garib Rath Categorical, Cherlapally-Silchar Categorical, and the Silchar-Naharlagun Categorical. The Silchar-New Delhi PSK Categorical was rescheduled owing to the disruption.
