Murdered IAS officer’s wife appeals to PM Modi after ex-Bihar MP freed from jail | Latest News India

This comes after Gangster-turned-politician Anand Mohan Singh walked free from Bihar’s Saharsa jail early Thursday morning, a transfer which was mandated following the modification of the jail guidelines by the Bihar authorities permitting the discharge of 27 convicts together with him.

Chatting with ANI, Uma Devi, spouse of late Gopalganj DM G Krishnaiah, stated, “I attraction to the President and the PM to intervene on this matter and ask CM Nitish Kumar to ship him (Anand Mohan) again to jail.”

G Krishnaiah, a 1985-batch IAS officer who hailed from Mahbubnagar in present-day Telangana.

Anand Mohan was sentenced to dying by a trial courtroom in 2007. A 12 months later, the sentence was commuted to life imprisonment by the Patna Excessive Courtroom. Mohan then challenged the decision in Supreme Courtroom however no reduction has been granted but and he has remained in Saharsa jail since 2007.
