Namma Metro passengers in Bengaluru can now use WhatsApp to buy practice tickets and recharge journey passes. The Bangalore Metro Rail Company Restricted (BMRCL) has introduced that the chatbot-based QR ticketing system will likely be operational from Tuesday, November 1, and commuters wouldn’t have to hold tokens or smartcards any more.

The BMRCL stated Namma Metro is the primary transit service on the planet to introduce an end-to-end ticketing system on WhatsApp.

BMRCL managing director Anjum Parvez instructed The Indian Categorical that Namma Metro has put in QR code scanners in stations and skilled workers. The brand new system will come into impact on the event of Kannada Rajyotsava, he added.
