Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos on Tuesday summoned Beijing’s envoy to Manila to precise “severe concern” after a Chinese language safety vessel was accused of utilizing a military-grade laser mild in opposition to a Philippine patrol boat.
Marcos confronted Chinese language Ambassador Huang Xilian “over the growing frequency and depth of actions by China in opposition to Philippine Coast Guard and our Filipino fishermen… the newest of which was the deployment of a navy grade laser in opposition to our Coast Guard vessels,” spokeswoman Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil stated.
